However, there is a 24-hour cooling-off period after registering for UPI. Within the cooling off period, you can transfer up to ₹ 5000 cumulatively via up to 5 transactions to both non-merchant and merchant accounts. After 24 hours, the transaction limit increases to the standard UPI limits
UPI number is the new payment address introduced by NPCI. You can link UPI number to your UPI ID and receive funds through UPI Number. You can either create your 10 digit mobile number as UPI number or random 6-9 digit number
No UPI number can only be linked to single UPI ID. You have the option to port your UPI number and link it to another UPI ID.

The INDIE savings account holders are eligible for 200 INDIE gems on execution of the first execution of autopayment including UPI mandate and bill autopayment.
For example: if a user automates subscription for Google play store, 200 gems will be credited to the user’s account within 72 hours of execution of only the first payment via INDIE UPI mandate. If the user enables UPI mandate on any other platform after execution of the first UPI mandate, it will not be eligible for 200 gems.
